Webinar Description:
ROUNDTABLE: Building on the DR Legacy
Just as decades of work on DARPANET made possible the development of the World Wide Web and the Internet, we have decades of experience with DR and load management programs. Our panelists, who have all been innovators on the retail and wholesale levels, will summarize how we got to this point. Mark Martinez has been involved in the evolution of programs and practices at SCE and in California. He introduced the idea of making energy use visible through devices like the Energy Orb. Chris King of eMeter founded the Demand Response and Smart Grid Coalition, invented Peak Time Rebate rate design and has been one of the leading policy thinkers in the space. David Brewster of EnerNOC is one of the people that has helped introduce new business models for demand response that has taken it to new levels as a resource and a customer option.
